About the calculator
What it is
Polovnjak.net is a free, independent calculator that estimates what a used car bought abroad costs once it is imported and registered in Serbia, Republika Srpska or the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is not a public authority, a customs agent or a car dealer, and it is not affiliated with any of them.
How the figures are worked out
Each calculator follows the path of the car: the purchase and export in the country where it is bought, the drive or transport home, customs clearance, homologation and first registration. The rates come from the laws, decisions and price lists of the authorities and public companies that set them. Each page links the official texts it relies on and gives the date they were checked; a fee that could not be confirmed in an official text is marked as an estimate.
What the results are, and what they are not
Every amount is an estimate, based on the rates in force on the date shown and on the figures you enter. It is not a quote, an offer, a guarantee, or legal or tax advice. Customs, registration authorities, insurers, inspection stations and carriers set the final amounts, and rates change. Check the amounts that matter to you with them before you buy a car.
Your data
The calculator needs no account. What you enter stays in your browser, which keeps it for your next visit, and is not sent to us. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not fingerprint visitors. A message sent through the contact form reaches us by email and is used only to answer it.
Advertising
Space on the calculator pages is offered to advertisers. An advertisement is labelled "Ad", links to the advertiser as a sponsored link and never changes a figure the calculator shows.
Corrections and questions
If a rate has changed or something is wrong, write through the contact page; a correction is checked against the official source before it is published.
